Forensic Accounting
Ranjit
has a special focus on risk management, internal
audit and forensic accounting services. He has
over twenty years experience in these fields through
his assignments and appointments in Malaysia and
the United States. Ranjit is the former Vice President
of The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia.
Prior
to his appointment as the Managing Director of
Columbus Advisory, Ranjit was a partner of one
of the “big four” international accounting
firms, where he pioneered the risk and outsourced
internal audit practice.
He
has led and completed risk management and internal
audit projects at more than 100 companies involved
in various industries.
Ranjit
also specialised in providing training on risk-based
internal audits and have guided a number of major
organisations in training their internal auditors
and helping them prepare a risk-based internal
audit strategy.
He
is also an experienced fraud examiner and one
of the very few internal auditors in South East
Asia to have been certified by the Institute of
Internal Auditors as an Internal Quality Assessor.
This mix of experience and certifications provides
Ranjit with a unique ability to give advice on
risk management, reengineering internal audit
functions and board level internal audit strategy.
He
has a truly international perspective of best
practices as he has completed assignments in more
than 30 countries, including Philippines, Panama,
Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Vietnam,
Cambodia, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Thailand, Iran,
Morocco, Fiji, Syria, Jordan, Djibouti, Mongolia,
Kenya, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Sudan.
Ranjit
is recognised as an established professional trainer
in his core specialisations and he is an accredited
speaker for the Continuing Education Programme
for the Directors of public listed companies in
Malaysia.
